Ricky’s POV “Do you have the flowers?” Grande asked me as we traveled down the road in my police cruiser. I looked into the back seat and nodded in silence. It had been a week since Grande and I got together as a couple. He had a hard time coming to the decision to tell Melanie, even though she had passed on. It took many days of asking Grande if he wanted to see Melanie’s grave in order to give him the courage to do so. I could tell that he was nervous, especially since he felt that she was watching him from the afterlife. “Yeah, I have them, don’t worry.” I reassured while pulling his trembling hand into my own. I rubbed the top of his hand with my thumb and smiled faintly at him. “I know that she is dead, but what if she is angry about our relationship?” Grande asked suddenly. My faint smile turned into a frown and I sighed. “She wanted you to be happy, remember? I’m sure she’s relieved that you are doing okay.” I told him. The road caused my cruiser to shake lightly
